RFS™ Notes

Some of you noticed that there was no July version of this newsletter.
This edition combines the July and August newsletters.
And, I am sorry to say, this will be the last regular edition of the
Relax Focus Succeed® email newsletter.
The first newsletter was published in October of 2002. What a long time
ago that was. Since then we've had a good following. As we close the
doors on this newsletter, it has been almost exactly six years.
Some people might ask what happened. The truth is: nothing in
particular. I've always been very passionate about the Relax Focus
Succeed® philosophy. But requests for seminars and presentations have
dwindled as I put my energies into other projects.
Therefore, I have decided to reorganize the Relax Focus Succeed®
universe.
- The web site will remain, and new articles will be posted there from
time to time.
- This newsletter will fade away from its current form. We will have
occasional notes, memos, and motivational snippets.
- The RFS Blog will receive more
attention. Most new material will be posted there as that readership
grows.

My businesses have evolved significantly over the last six years. Great
Little Book Publishing has become a distributor of technical resources
for technical professionals. KPEnterprises (my consulting company) has
grown to be a regional company and I am no longer working with daily
operations (I just do sales and marketing).
And I have just launched a new adventure that I believe will propel a
lot of people to the next level in their businesses. It's called
Promotion Monkey
Promotion
Monkey is a monthly printed newsletter that focuses on helping
entrepreneurs promote their businesses in the Internet Community.
Please sign up for the FREE Promotion Monkey ezine (electronic
magazine). Also, poke around on that web site and determine whether you
want to join one of the clubs.
Free ezine subscriptions are available now. Paid newsletter
subscriptions are available September 1st.
Please visit
www.promotionmonkey.com.
The bottom line for RFS is this: I can only do so many things, and I
feel that I have not been able to give this newsletter the attention it
deserves. While I'm passionate about the RFS philosophy, this newsletter
takes a lot of work to produce. I need to put my limited energy into
projects with maximum return.
Thank you for your support over the years, especially those who bought
the book and told their friends about it.
Please check out the RFS Blog and
watch for more frequent updates there.

One quick article this month. Thanks for reading.
Take Care.
I welcome your

You Are Everything You've Ever Done
By Karl W. Palachuk
I was talking to my brother
the other day about all the trials,
tribulations, money problems, client
problems, and other hassles we go through in
the business world. He reminded me of
something I knew that I knew:
All that "stuff" makes us who we are today.
Hiring and firing the wrong people teaches
us lessons. Having a kid and raising her to
adulthood teaches us lessons. Investing in
the right things, and the wrong things,
teaches us lessons.
Building a successful business allows us to
move to the next level. Building another
successful business allows us to believe
that it was more than luck.
And so forth.
All the lessons and all the experiences
become a piece of who we are. The good, the
bad, and the ugly.
But all of that is meaningless if we don't
STOP once in awhile and do some
introspection. We need to look inside our
lives, look inside our hearts, and get to
know who we are.
It's funny. The absolutely most popular
article on the Relax Focus Succeed® web site
is
The Unexamined Life is Not Worth Living.
I wrote that article in the Fall of 2002 and
posted it in January of 2003.
It was one of the first articles on the web
site. And it is still extremely popular. So
the message hasn't changed.
You are the person you have become as a result of a million decisions and experiences over the years.
How many of these decisions and experiences were intentional, and how many just happened?
|
Almost everything in your life will be different six years from now. Will it be
the result of simply letting things happen in your life, or because you
intentionally decided to do something or to become something?
I am changing focus a bit. I'm going to help other people find success through
internet marketing and promotions.
And I'm proud to say I didn't get here by accident. No, I didn't foresee this
six years ago. But it is the intentional result of my actions and decisions over
the last six years.
I can go do this because of all the other things that have transpired.
Moving through life with intention is extremely powerful. Most people never try
it. It's not that they try and fail, or don't stick with it.
Most people never try it.
I hope that you will stay tuned to the RFS Blog.
And I hope you move to the next level in your life with purpose and values.
I wish you tremendous luck. Just remember that luck normally results from hard
work. :-)
