Everything You Need To Be Successful

by Karl W. Palachuk

Do you make excuses about why you "can't" be successful in some area of your life? What's the excuse? I'm not good at that? I don't have that talent? Other people are smarter?

Exactly what do you need to be successful? Let's make a list:
Ladder of Success
- Determination
- Knowledge
- Talent / Skill
- Experience
- Intelligence
- Genius
- Perseverance
- Money
-The Right tools
- Focus

And you may add some other elements.

If you put these into categories you'll see that they are all habits, knowledge, or tools.

Habits can be acquired. You have to decide that you want to work for something. Then you decide what you need to do in order to achieve that something. Then you develop the habits that will get you there. This includes determination, perseverance, and focus.

Knowledge, which includes talent, intelligence, and even "genius" can be acquired. The two most obvious methods are experience and reading. Remember the words of Thomas Edison: "Genius is two percent inspiration and ninety-eight percent perspiration." What some people call genius may just be hard work!

Tools include money and equipment. You acquire these with time. And perseverance, and skill, and hard work, all of which are in your grasp!
